Born in Ohio on Nov. 8, 1880. Strietmann graduated from the College of Medicine at University of Cincinnati. In 1912 he settled in Oakland, CA where he established a medical practice and in 1919 joined the staff at Highland Hospital where he remained. He died at his home in Piedmont at 1236 Ashmount on July 14, 1941. He painted in his leisure and became a skilled landscape painter. Exh: East Bay Physicians, 1937; Bohemian Club, 1940.
