William Malcolm Cutts was active/lived in Ontario / Canada, England.  William Cutts is known for portraits, landscapes and seascape painting.

Biography   William Malcolm Cutts


William Malcolm Cutts was a painter who was born of British parents in Allahabad, India.  After his father was killed in the Sepoy Revolt (1857-1858), he and his mother moved to England.  In 1870 he emigrated to Stratford, Ontario, Canada with his mother and stepfather and lived there until 1880.

He subsequently lived in Toronto, St. Ives, Cornwall, England (1909-12), back to Toronto and finally in 1915 to Port Perry, Ontario, where he lived the rest of his life.

His mediums were oils and watercolours.  His subjects, portraits, landscapes, and seascapes. His style was realism and naturalistic.
