Born in San Francisco, CA on Nov. 25, 1905, the son of sculptor Pio Tognelli. The younger Tognelli was a pupil of his father and attended the CSFA. He was an assistant to his father and worked with him on sculptures for Treasure Island at the GGIE of 1939. Active during the 1920s and 1930s, he abandoned art after the death of his father. He lived in Greenbrae, CA until his death on Oct. 23, 1989.
