Born in Sedgwick County, KS on Sept. 15, 1878. Jessie Ranson taught sewing for the U.S. Indian Service before her marriage to Norman Burgher in 1906. Upon moving to southern California in 1921, she settled in San Diego. The mother of artist Juana Burgher, she died in Pasadena on July 30, 1968. Exh: So. Calif.
