Jennie M. Cosnett (1885-1938)
A landscape and still life painter, she attended and graduated from the Philadelphia School of Design for Women in 1905. She worked in pastels, watercolor and oil. She was awarded a prize upon graduation for her floral still life watercolor, La France Roses. In 1903 she exhibited her oil landscape titled Scene From Fishers Lane in an exhibition sponsored by The Art Club of Philadelphia. Other contemporary artists represented in this exhibit included Edw. W. Redfield, Chas. W. Eaton, Daniel Garber. The current whereabouts of this painting is unknown. Of her completed works known to survive is her self-portrait as a young women, and various still live
