Biography   Sister Francis de Chantal


The sister of Nellie Martin Davies, Katherine Davies became a Catholic nun and took the name of Sister Francis de Chantal. She studied at Tulane University and between 1885 and 1900 was active as a pottery decorator with the New Orleans Pottery Company, predecessor of Newcomb Pottery.

She exhibited with the New Orleans Art Association.
