Born in San Francisco, CA on Jan. 11, 1896. "Freda" was the wife of Hans Klussmann. She studied at the CSFA and was active in the local art scene in the 1930s and 1940s. Later in life she gained fame for her Save the Cable Cars campaign. A lifelong resident of San Francisco, she died there on Oct. 22, 1986.
