Born in Marysville, CA on April 25, 1861. Nesemann began his career in his native city. In 1888 he established a daguerreotype studio there in the Odd Fellows Bldg. He studied painting locally with Alfred Hart. After settling in Berkeley, CA in 1907, he had a studio at 1639 Euclid Avenue until his death on Feb. 4, 1949.
