The following information was submitted in April of 2006 by the artist:
I am the daughter of A. L. Ross, illustrator and Pearl Elizabeth Ross, mosaic artist. We lived in Poughquag, New York where my Father had his studio. I went to a one room school house, but was exposed to museums and the theatre when I went to N.Y.C. with my Father on his rounds to deliver his illustration work. I always remember being impressed ( we had no electricity until 1950) when I saw the lights at Broadway and 42nd street being turned on as we drove home to the country.
At age 12 I was able to go and stay with an Aunt on Cape Cod during the summer and started to do volunteer work at Monomoy Theatre in Chatha
