David Mann

 (1940 - 2004)
David Mann was active/lived in Missouri, California, Kansas.  David Mann is known for motorcycle magazine illustrator.

Biography   David Mann

A longtime illustrator for Easyrider magazine, David Mann did numerous depictions of 'Harleys' and their riders, many of them with surreal-seeming backdrops and wide-ranging scenes from crowds watching tension-ridden races to individuals standing by their cycles.

Mann is from Kansas City, Missouri, and influenced by a father who was an illustrator, began doing pencil sketches in high school.  In 1957, he took a job pin striping at a custom car shop and then, with his father, enrolled in formal art classes at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Spending only a short time in these art classes, Mann then went to Santa Monica, California, where he and a friend took jobs at Bay Area Mufflers.  So   ...  Displaying 750 of 1628 characters.
