Alfred Bright

 (- 1936)
Alfred Bright was active/lived in England.  Alfred Bright is known for race horse painting, printmaking.

Biography   Alfred Bright

The following information is from Rebecca Duckworth (nee Bright), grand daughter of Alfred Bright.

Alfred Bright was a cotton broker in Liverpool. He painted the Duke of Westminster’s bloodstock and well-known race horses of the era. I am led to believe that many of his paintings went to the Jockey Club in India. I have some originals and prints as does my father. ??

Alfred Bright was related to John Bright, a 19th Century social reformer and member of Parliament who corresponded with Abraham Lincoln. It was Bright’s letter of encouragement that was found in Lincoln’s breast pocket when he was assassinated.
