Biography George Fall
George Fall (1848-1925) was a painter of landscapes, portraits and topographical views. He worked in oils and watercolours. He is best known for his small, detailed watercolours of York ,showing the Minster, the City and the River Ouse. He resided in York all his life but travelled extensively around England, painting the Cathedrals. Locations recorded are of, Durham, Hereford, Wells, Canterbury, Lincoln, and London.
His works can be seen in The City Art Gallery, York. A portrait of Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence (1864-1892) is held in The Royal Collection at Windsor Castle.
