Biography   Georg Fischhof


Georg Fischhof (1859-1914) Born in Vienna, Georg Fischhof first studied architecture and then at the Vienna School of Applied Arts with the genre painter Friedrich Sturm and in Munich. He first turned to the imitation of old tapestries, one of that works can be seen in the throne room of Stift Klosterneuburg. He also painted, under a variety of pseudonyms such as Joh. Wagner, Tihay Beleg, or A. L. Terni portraits, sea and forest scapes and Italian views in atmospheric late Impressionist style.   ...  Displaying 500 of 699 characters.
