The following was submitted September 2004 by Jackie Wolf, art and antique dealer. She found the information in an article in the "Butler Eagle Newspaper", dated Thursday, September 3, 1987:

Former Evans City Resident Charles Ripper Painted Wildlife on Colorful Postage Stamps

The colorful wildlife stamps are now on sale at the post office here and across the nation are selling extremely well.

Previously, Ripper painted the 1980 four-stamp Coral Reef block for the U. S. Postal Service and the Louisiana World Exposition issue of 1984...

Ripper's Wildlife illustrations can be seen on bank checks, greeting cards, puzzles, outdoor magazines and L.L. Bean catalogues.
