Biography Eugen Hamm
Eugen Hamm was born in 1885, in Thuringian Apolda, Germany. He studied under Lovis Corinth at his private school of painting. A little later, Eugen held his first exhibition in the Secession. In 1909, he went to Paris, and studied at the 'Académie Matisse.' Eugen was fascinated by the Impressionist painters, especially Auguste Renoir.
In Germany, Eugen was a member of the German Association of Artists as well as the 'Leipziger Künstlerverein.'
Eugen Hamm died in 1930. His works are represented in significant collections such as The Gallery of New Masters in Dresden, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Leipzig.
