Hedlund, Alfred (1884-1930)
Visual artist, born in 1884 in Nobbelov, Scania; died in 1930 in Lund, Sweden. After working as a professional painter he studied at the Art Academy and then in Paris and Rome.
He painted portraits, but mainly landscapes, ruins of Rome, Drottningholm Palace and designs from the Stockholm area, and sleek images from his home and Vallkarra Church. He and his wife completed an altarpiece in the church Hastads, 1930.
He is represented in the Modern Museum in Stockholm, Malmo Museum and Lund University Museum.
