Charles Hermann-Leon (1838-1908)
A genre and animal painter, Hermann-Leon was a pupil of Philippe Rousseau and debuted at the Salon in 1861. He was awarded third and second class medals, and in 1900 with a silver medal at the Exposition Universelle. He was decorated with the Legion of Honor in 1897.
