Biography Wolfgang Huber
Born in the Austrian town of Feldkirch, Huber spent the early years of his career as a journeyman, when he developed his draughtsmanship by drawing the scenery on his travels. Later settled in Prassau, Huber became a prolific painter, draughtsman and woodcut designer, as well as architect. Though it has been posited that Huber studied under Altdorfer, his works retain an individualistic style, which designates him to be one of the leaders of the Danube school.
