John Jennings was born in Idaho in 1948. At age 2, he moved with his family back to Oregon, where he was raised. One of the first underwater marine painters, John Jennings depicts the multi-dimensional life of the ocean.
Since 1990, the mural at Cannery Row in Monterey California ----"Welcome Home"---John Jennings has served as an icon for marine conservation for an audience of perhaps 2 to 4 million people annually, in the decade since painting the Cannery Row Mural.
