Walter Cohick Plunkett was born in Oakland, California on June 5, 1902. Plunkett began work in Hollywood as a costume designer in the 1920s. He is best remembered for his costumes in "Gone With the Wind" and "Singin' in the Rain."
A gay man, he died in Santa Monica, CA on March 8, 1982.
