Biography Bronislawa Rychter-Janowska
Bronislawa Rychter-Janowska, also called the "painter of polish
manor-houses", began her education in Krakow under the supervision of her
brother Stanislaw Janowski. In 1896 she left Poland in order to
continue her studies and moved to Munich where she was taught by Anton
Ažbé and Szymon Hollósy.
She traveled a lot to such places as Germany
and Italy, where in 1904 she studied at the Florence Academy and in
Rome. At first she was deeply connected with Krakow however around the
years 1908-1909 she moved to Stary Sacz, where she ran a private
