Biography Franz Stober
Franz Stöber was originally intended by his parents to become a goldsmith. However, his uncle recognized his talent as a painter and sent him to the K&K Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. There he attended the class for landscape and architectural painting by Johann Christian Brand (1722-1795).
Franz Stöber produced not only numerous pictures, but was entrusted with the supervision of the gallery by the dean of Speyer, the Baron von Hutten.
