Biography Paul Wilhelm
A faculty member of the Cincinnati Art Academy from 1964 and formerly of the Dayton Art Institute, Paul Wilhelm was born in Germany and immigrated to Ohio in 1928. He took most of his training at the National Art School in Koenigsberg, East Prussia.
Noted for his mural painting, in the 1930s he did a series of murals for the Federal Bureau of Prisons and also designed murals as well as stained glass windows for churches in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Alabama, Colorado and Washington.
Two of his paintings are in the Cincinnati Art Museum.
Survived by one son, Kurt, of Vancouver, Canada, he died in April 1971.
