Biography Henri Baud
The following information is from Roderick Macleod
Henry Baud served as an interpreter to my grandfather, Claud Charlton, then a colonel in 124 Brigade, 37th Division Royal Artillery, on the Western Front in 1915. Baud gave my grandfather a small crayon/pastel portrait, describing it as 'a typical English Tommy'. A later note on the reverse says that Baud was a French officer at the time, but this may not be reliable.
I also note that three watercolours by Henri Baud were shown at the Great War Exhibition at the King Street Galleries in London in November 1988.
