Born in Paris, France in 1893. Guy was the son of Marquis Charles DeBouthillier-Chavigny, a minister of France. He studied painting with Claude Monet for three years and for two years with Picasso and Sargent. By 1932 he had moved to Glendale, CA. He died there on March 14, 1962. Primarily a watercolorist, he was an advocate of the modern French School.
