Biography Charles Kennedy
Charles Napier Kennedy was a Victorian artist of portraits, genre and
mythological subjects. He studied at the Slade School of Art. He
commenced exhibiting at the Royal Academy in 1872. He was made an
Associate of the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1896.
He exhibited 18 works
at the Royal Academy, 10 at the Royal Hibernian Academy, 12 at the
Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and 8 at the New Gallery. His works can be
seen at the National Gallery of Ireland, Manchester City Art Gallery
and the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool.
