Henri Laurent-Desrousseaux (b. Joinville-le-Pont, July 15, 1862- d.Valmondois, August 11, 1906)
A painter, ceramist and illustrator, he was the son of painters Henri Adolphe Louis Laurent (born at Valenciennes in 1830) and Lydie Adèle Laurent-Desrousseaux (born at Cherbourg in 1836). He entered the National College of Fine Arts in 1881, studying with Emile Bin and Albert Maignan.
His oeuvre included landscapes, genre and religious scenes and he won prices at art exhibitions and the universal exhibitions of 1889 and 1900 in Paris.
For his ceramics, he used the pseudonym Charles Henri-Leon Robalbhen. As an illustrator, he worked for newspapers such as Le Figaro and illustrated several books.
