The rare painter Bernard Lukas Sanz (Santz or Sanzi) is a native of Passau, Germany, and author of landscapes and religious compositions. He was also active in Bergamo, in Gandino in val Seriana and Astino, the abbey of the Holy Sepulchre. his works on the art market are extremely rare. the two paintings, signed and dated, show Italian influences combined with a culture Nordic Flemish-style landscape of considerable level. the painter was also affected by the influence of the Storm and tends to broaden the field of the scene, the views are painted in minute detail in the description of plants, people, animals near and far. the great brightness of the heavens, the airiness of the views, the coloristic harmony make two cornerst   ...  Displaying 750 of 1034 characters.
