Lewis Woods Teel Jr. was born in El Paso, Texas on March 2, 1913. Teel specialized in landscapes of the desert and canyons of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. The latter part of his life was spent in Los Angeles, CA; he died there on June 10, 1995.
