Clarissa Love is a Nebraska artist, who discovered her artistic ability in 1990 with a simple pencil sketch. Realizing her talent lead her to try mix media and enroll in art class at Omaha Metropolitan Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. The first subjects for her work were African and Native American portraits and wildlife. In 2002 Love started art classes at Threlkeld Studios, Omaha, Nebraska under Isabella Threlkeld.
The majority of her large works are in colored pen, ink and pencil. This medium is used on large poster board. The artist line and expression is dynamic. When asked how she creates she smiles and states "One line at a time."
