John Alan McEwen DFA (1945)
A prominent Canadian sculptor and educator, John McEwen was born in Toronto, Ontario and has lived in Hillsdale, Ontario, a town about 70 miles due north of Toronto, since about 1972. His monumental sculptures are in numerous public space locations in Toronto and across Canada; and, his smaller works are in the collections of several major Canadian museums including the National Gallery of Canada.
