Victor Bornschleger was born in 1820. Victor was a student of Nicolas Toussaint Charlet. In 1842, he exhibited at the Paris Salon, earning a medal of third class in 1847.
Following the example of his teacher, Victor Bornschleger loved to execute portraits and military scenes. He also painted genre scenes and worked in pastel as well.
Victor Bornschleger died in 1891. Museums in Boulogne-sur-Mer and Nice preserved his works.
