Biography Richard Von Hagn
Landscape, architecture and figure painter, Richard Von Hagn studied at the Dresden academy under L. Pohle from 1876-80 and continued his studies at the Munich and Karlsruhe academies. He traveled repeatedly to Venice. The city of Venice was in a sense a second home for the Hagns.
Von Hagn was a painter of architecture at least since the 1880s thanks to exhibitions
at the Royal Academy, Berlin, and in the Glass Palace in Munich. He found a third home in Dresden. Von Hagn participated in numerous exhibitions, among others at the Große Kunstausstellung in Berlin and at the Munich Glaspalast.
