Biography Harold Stack
A wildlife, western and figurative painter, Harold Stack began his study and drawing of the animal form at the age of five. The surroundings in his native New Mexico helped to inspire his love for this craft. When he was in the fifth grade, he won an art contest, which led to a scholarship to an art school in Albuquerque, New Mexico and eventually to a career in the art world.
Thus, Stack has been drawing and painting for most of his life. Primarily he paints wildlife and other animals. He is known for juxtaposing soft edges with crisp edges in his work, and creating canvases that seem to emit an inner light.
