Karoly Rokk was active/lived in Hungary.  Karoly Rokk is known for Impressionist winter landscape painting, portraits.

Biography   Karoly Rokk

Karoly Rokk's work is best known for his winter scenes taken from the Hungarian and Siberian winter.  Rokk was taken prisoner of war by the Russians during the First World War during which time he painted his Siberian winter scenes. 
Rokk could paint his scenes very quickly in an impressionist style.  Although most of his work is done in oils he also was very skillful in the use of water colours.  Indeed the family in New Zealand have a self portrait done in water colour done while Rokk was in Siberia.
