Biography Norman Plummer
Born in Horton, Kansas December 17, 1901 and deceased in Lawrence,
Kansas, March 1981, Norman Plummer was a ceramist. He was a
graduate of the University of Kansas, Lawrence in 1925, and worked for
the State Geologic Survey at the University of Kansas, Lawrence.
From his work as a geologist and chemist, he knew the local clay beds
and developed fine glazes especially for them. His pottery was
displayed when the renovated Lawrence Public Library reopened Nov. 1937.
