Born in Ohio on Oct. 10, 1855, Mary Ambos spent most of her life in Columbus, OH. By 1930 she had joined her brother, Charles, in Long Beach, CA.
Unmarried, she died there on Aug. 12, 1940. Her forte was painting on silk.
