Gerald Warren Spencer was born in Shelley, ID on Aug. 7, 1923. Following service in WWII, Spencer moved to Los Angeles to purse an art career. He studied at Chouinard and Jebson art institutes under Rico Lebrun, Sueo Serisawa, and others. His studio and home was in Garden Grove where he died on November 12, 2008. He was a winner of more than 400 awards in southern California shows.
