Roberto Gari (b.February 13, 1920 - d. January 22, 2008)
Gari was born in Brooklyn and by the age of 4, he was appearing in vaudeville under the name of Jackie Hayes. In 1939 Gari turned to the art world and studied at the Art Students League under the auspices of such renowned instructors as Will Barnett and Ethel Schwabacher. He became a very respected artist with one man shows from coast to coast in such galleries as the Bodley Gallery in NYC and the Raymond Burr and Acosta galleries in Beverly Hills.
