Born in Mt Pleasant, IA on Aug. 3, 1872. At age 18 Stella Lang was painting while a student at Iowa Wesleyan College. About 1900 she moved to southern California with her family and settled near Brea. Most of her paintings were done before her marriage in 1912. One of corn is in the style of Alfred Montgomery with whom she may have studied. She died in Fullerton, CA on Feb. 4, 1972.
