Born in Atkin, SC in 1859. Habersham graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1873. A civil engineer, he was working with the railroads by 1888. While in northern California he painted scenes along the Russian River. The artist's rare works have a primitive charm. He died in Portland, OR in 1933.
