Palmer, Anna 1889–1951
Anna Mae Brown (Palmer) was born on April 28, 1889, in Oldham, Lancashire, England, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Jane (Kenyon) Brown. In 1893, the family immigrated to the United States, initially settling in Massachusetts, where Anna Mae received her early education, prior to moving to California in the early 1900s.
In 1910, Anna married Claude Wilson Palmer in Santa Ana, California. The couple spent the remainder of the decade living first in Santa Ana, California, followed by El Paso, Texas, and Hemet, California. In the early 1920s they moved to San Diego, California, where they remained. The couple had three children: two daughters and a son.
