Born in Nevada on Sept. 28, 1890. Following service in WWI, Day lived in San Diego during 1914-20. He worked there as a cartoonist, operator of the Dream Theatre, and electrician at the California Theater. In 1925 he moved north to Oakland where he remained until his demise on Jan. 19, 1965.
