Robin Skelton BA MA FRSL (1925 – 1997)
An important and influential Canadian poet, critic, publisher, printmaker, sculptor and educator, Robin Skelton was born in Easington, East Yorkshire, England and died in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, where he had lived since 1963. Professor Skelton was the subject of articles in the Encyclopedia of British Columbia and The Canadian Encyclopedia. He was listed in the Canadian Who’s Who books from 1967 until the year of his death; that year, with over 750 words, his was one of the longest entries in the book.
