Alice Haigh Dixon

Alice Haigh Dixon was active/lived in California.  Alice Dixon is known for landscape paintings with redwood trees.

Biography   Alice Haigh Dixon

Born on a cattle ranch at Skaggs Springs, CA on Dec. 1, 1876.  Alice Haigh married R. G. Cook in 1901 but divorced him to marry George A. Dixon in 1910.  By the turn of the century she was an accomplished landscape painter.  During 1918-22 she lived in  San Francisco.  Mrs. Dixon died in Healdsburg, CA on Jan. 24, 1956.  She is best remembered for her redwood scenes in both watercolor and oil.
