Born in Indiana on July 15, 1909. Garrett graduated from Miss Head's School in Berkeley and then studied at the Breckinridge Art School in Gloucester, MA and at the CSFA. In 1935 she wed John Treanor and settled on a ranch in Napa. Her death in La Jolla, CA on Aug. 31, 1968 was a suicide.
