Biography Joy Rushfelt
Joy Jungferman Rushfelt was born on June 29, 1937 in Garden City, Kansas. She spent her childhood on the family farm near Ulysses and attended public schools in Ulysses and Garden City. Graduated from the Univ. of Kansas, Lawrence with a BFA in 1959 and a MFA in 1973. Worked as a color separation artist for Hallmark Cards, Inc. From the 1960s through the 1980s Rushfelt pursued a prolific professional career as a commissioned fiber artist weaving tapestries and wall hangings for numerous corporate, professional, and governmental offices and buildings, hospitals, universities, churches, and for private residences and collections both locally and
