Anne Jaeschke (1927-2009)
Born July 23, 1927, in St. Louis, to C.J. and Nelle Jaeschke, she graduated from Jefferson City, Mo. High School in 1944, attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1950 with a BFA in Painting (with honors). In 1955 she took classes in painting at the Kansas City Art Institute.
Anne moved to Kansas City in 1951, where she worked as an artist/designer for Hallmark Cards. During her long career at Hallmark, she was the creator of the Jessie Anne project and the Charmers line. She also did illustrations for at least two books including This Morning I held a Rose by Tina
