Biography Kay Mott
Kay Mott (1907-1981) was a Santa Fe based painter and graphic artist. Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas she settled in New Mexico in 1934.
A member of Artists Equity Association, Santa Fe chapter where she
served as vice-president, she received her art education at the
University of Kansas School of Architecture; the Broadmoor Art Academy
in Colorado Springs; studies with Frederick Taubes in El Paso in 1951;
Roderick Mead in Carlsbad, New Mexico from 1949 to 1952; Katherine
Schlater, Randall Davey and John Skolle in Santa Fe.
During her career Mott exhibited at the Museum of New Mexico, 1952-56,
1958, 1960; Museum of New Mexico Travelling Shows, 1955, 1958; Sun
Carnival Art Show, El Paso, 1960; Lions C
