Mabel Bertha Beyer Sevey was born in Lodomillo, IA on Nov. 6, 1901. She studied at the University of Dubuque in Iowa, and by 1920 was a school teacher in Lodomillo.
In 1922 she wed Ray Sevey, and by 1948 the couple had relocated to Los Angeles.
During the 1960s and early 1970s she was active in the local art scene. She later joined her sister in Edgewood, IA and died there on March 22,1997.
